The Center conducted its 3rd Annual Cadet/Student Conference on Counterterrorism, Counterinsurgency, Cyber, and Asymmetric Warfare on 1-2 April. This unique conference includes undergraduate and graduate students from all over the world and cadets in the Terrorism Studies minor to present papers in a professional setting to the world’s leading subject matter experts. The first day included a tour of West Point, one of the student panels, a banquet dinner with a keynote speech from USMA Superintendent LTG Robert Caslen, and an experts panel. The latter panel included Dr. Martha Crenshaw (Stanford University), Dr. Bruce Hoffman (Georgetown University), COL Cindy Jebb (Professor and Head, Department of Social Sciences), and Dr. Jan Kallberg (University of Texas – Dallas). The second day included multiple panel presentations in the Haig Room on the top floor of Jefferson Library where presenters received critical feedback on their papers from the Conference VIPs, CTC faculty, and a mixed audience of cadets and faculty.
