Major Jody J. Daigle

Major Jody J. Daigle attended the United States Military Academy and graduated in 2002 with a Commission as an Infantry Officer. His military schooling includes the Infantry Officer Basic Course, Maneuver Captains Career Course, Special Forces Qualification Course, SERE-C, Combat Diver Qualification Course, Airborne School, Jumpmaster School, Air Assault School, Pathfinder School and Ranger School.
Major Daigle’s assignments include Rifle Platoon Leader, Rifle Company XO and HHC XO in 2nd Battalion, 502nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, with two deployments to Mosul and Baghdad, Iraq. Additionally, MAJ Daigle served a third deployment to Iraq with Multi-National Force – Iraq as an Orders Manager for the Strategic Operations Center. Following the Special Forces Qualification Course, MAJ Daigle was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group (A), forward deployed in Okinawa, Japan. While assigned to 1st Special Forces Group (A), MAJ Daigle served as a Detachment Commander for 26 months on an Operational Detachment-A with two deployments to the Southern Philippines in support of Operation Enduring Freedom – Philippines. MAJ Daigle’s most recent assignment was as the Special Forces Battalion Assistant Operations Officer.
MAJ Daigle’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Expert Infantryman’s Badge, Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, Pathfinder Badge, Combat Diver Badge, Special Forces Tab and the Ranger Tab. His foreign awards include the Philippine Military Commendation Medal, Philippine Military Civic Action Medal, German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge (Gold), Royal Thai Army Airborne Wings and Royal Thai Balloon Parachutist Badge.
