Major Josh Richardson

MAJ Josh Richardson graduated from the United States Military Academy and was commissioned into the Field Artillery. His ten-year career includes two years of command at the company level, plus deployments throughout Southwest Asia. He served two tours each in support of Operations IRAQI FREEDOM and ENDURING FREEDOM in Afghanistan, including three tours as a fire support officer in the 75th Ranger Regiment, and one tour as a battery commander in the 82nd Airborne Division. Josh is active in church and community activities, most recently coaching police youth league tee-ball in Fairfax, VA. Upon graduation from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College this year, Josh will enter Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, D.C., where he will pursue a Master of Arts in International Relations and American Foreign Policy. His military awards and decorations include the Ranger tab, Senior Parachutist badge, and two awards of the Bronze Star Medal. Josh is married to the former Shannon Stewart of Greensboro, NC, and has four daughters.
