MAJ Scott Taylor

MAJ Scott Taylor is the Deputy Director of the Combating Terrorism Center at West Point, and also serves as an Assistant Professor of American Politics in the Department of Social Sciences. His military experience includes service as a Commander of the 7th Field Artillery Regiment (155,Towed), 10th Mountain Division, Battalion Fire Support Officer in the 1st Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division, and Assistant Operations Officer, General Staff Headquarters, III Corps in Fort Hood, Texas. He has also served as a Company Fire Support Officer and Platoon Leader in the 2nd Infantry Division in Korea. Scott is a graduate of Rutgers University and holds two master's degrees from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, Syracuse University. He is a recipient of the Purple Heart, 2 Bronze Stars and numerous other military awards and decorations.
