Terms of Use
The West Point trademark program was formally established to protect and license the Institutional Names and Identifying Marks of the United States Military Academy. These marks, which are registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and/or protected under State and common law, are the exclusive property of the United States Army and are managed locally by the West Point Licensing Director. Through a contracted agreement, the Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC) administers our licensing program.
A license, or authorization, is required prior to the use of our Institutional Names and Identifying Marks. Licenses for commercial use are generally coordinated through the CLC; licenses for non-commercial use are typically coordinated by the West Point Licensing Director. The CLC may be contacted at (770) 956-0520, or tads [at] clc [dot] com. The West Point Licensing Director may be contacted at (845) 938-8086, or samuel [dot] johnson [at] usma [dot] edu.
Only an officially licensed vendor may produce goods or offer services which bear our Institutional Names and Identifying Marks. The “Officially Licensed Collegiate Products” label assures alumni, parents, and fans that the merchandise on which it appears has been approved by West Point and that royalties from purchases will benefit the United States Military Academy.
